An Interesting Opportunity!

The Quantum World
Atom
What is it?
Go Physics is a new pilot series of online courses aimed at high school students in grade 11 and 12 with a keen interest in physics. Over the course of six weeks, students can work at their own pace to complete the activities. Participants can expect to delve into the mysterious and weird world of teeny, tiny atoms - the first in a two-part series of courses. In The Quantum World, topics will include what quantum particles are and how they behave, quantum interpretations and the latest quantum technologies. Students will discuss conceptual questions, participate in interactive, online activities, try a variety of experiments at home, and receive feedback from the course instructors. Students will have the opportunity to discuss conceptual questions with peers from around the world.

When is it?
Monday, March 7 - Friday, April 15, 2016

How can your students sign up?
They must be in grade 11 or grade 12 physics and have a keen interest and strong ability in physics. Provide students with the link to fill out the online application form (https://perimeterinstitute.ca/applications/426). SPACE IS LIMITED. Participants will be accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis. However, the course will run again.

What does it Cost?
Nothing!

Feedback during this testing phase is extremely important to the development of this program, so please ensure participating students are aware this is a requirement of the course. Please note: this is not an accredited course.
